Deep Focus Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 15, 2026

Overview

Deep Focus is a macOS focus timer that runs entirely on your device. Your privacy is important to us, and the app is designed to respect it fully.

Data Collection

Deep Focus does not collect, store, transmit, or share personal data. Preferences such as blocked apps, blocked sites, timer duration, and theme selection are stored locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults and do not leave your device.

Network Access

Deep Focus does not rely on a backend service. The app has no analytics, no telemetry, no ad SDKs, and no crash reporting service in the current version.

System Permissions

Deep Focus may request permission to send Apple Events to supported browsers such as Safari, Chrome, Arc, Brave, and Edge in order to block distracting websites during focus sessions. This access is used only to redirect blocked tabs and is not used to collect browsing data.

Third-Party Services

Deep Focus does not integrate with third-party services or remote APIs in the current version.

Children's Privacy

Deep Focus does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
